COACH of the MONTH: January - Congratulations to Erin Chamley. This was presented in recognition of coaching she did for our speed skaters at Nationals after Gordon had to leave to go home

MEDAL TESTS: UH Medal Tests are planned for the weekend of 14/15 May at our rink. A list will shortly be on the notice board to indicate who and what medal they wish to sit. At this stage we are doing up to Figure 4, Freeskating 4, Dance 3. Those wishing to sit the higher tests may do at the Central Medal Test in Palmerston North 11/12 June
FIGURE/FREESKATING SQUAD: David Hook (free) and Brent Millar (figs) will be doing a squad at the rink on Sunday 13th March. A list is on the notice board to be filled in which closes 5:00 pm Friday 4th March. Talk to your coach about attending or see Chris Hazelwood
ROSTER: The roster for our public session on a Saturday afternoon has been posted and sent to all on e-mail. Remember it is your job to swap days if the day you are rostered does not suit you Most times there will also be a committee member rostered on
DETAILS: We are at present ensuring we have your correct details for our membership and medal test lists. Chris Hazelwood will, if she hasn’t done already, be approaching you to ensure your details on the lists are correct. Remember if you change address/phone please inform Chris Picard or Chris Hazelwood so our records can be kept up to date
NATIONAL RESULTS: The results for UH skaters are on the notice board and have been posted on our website in the result section www.skate.wellington.net.nz
TIMETABLE: The timetable for 2005 has been posted on the notice board. Copies will be at the rink and sent out
COACHING TIME: Just a reminder. If during coaching time and you are practicing remember to ask the coach/coaches before playing your music for they maybe using it. Also while practicing ensure you give the skater being coached a fair go. That way, when you are being coached you will you will get use of the rink during your time.
FUNDRAISING: Shortly all families will be give at least 1 box of Moro Bars to sell. Mary-Anne is doing the organising and will inform you the cost of each bar to sell and when the money is due back. Funds raised will help support the squads planned at our rink, our skaters selected for Oceania’s, etc. Please give your full support to this fundraising effort
RAFFLES: With Easter not far away we will be having at least 3 Easter raffles. Please give your full support to the raffles. Tickets will start selling this week so be quick to get your favourite number. Funds raised will help support the squads planned at our rink, our skaters selected for Oceania’s, etc
