general tiding up, etc. Special thanks to Gary Hazelwood for all the work and
time he has put in. Also thanks to Catherine, Emma, Michelle, Charlene, Bev and
Chris for the pictures painted on the wall. They have been very well received
and we are looking forward to more.

PUBLIC
OPEN DAY:
This was a great success. Thanks to all that came along that day and assisted
whenever they could by way of demos, helping in the shop, and giving
information out. We had at least 250 people not only from Upper Hutt but also
from Lower Hutt, Wellington, Tawa, and Porirua areas. Our Patch Class last
Tuesday had 16 new skaters there. Make them feel welcome and ensure they get
the information they require

REMINDER: During coaching/practice times please ensure that only Club members are skating. It has been noticed occasionally that family/friends are also having a skate. This has become a distraction during coaching/practice times not only to the person they came with but to others members using the rink at that time. Thank you.
TIMETABLE: there has been a timetable
posted on the notice board to get the 2004-year started. It has the UHRSC and
RIHC times. If anyone wishes a copy see Chris Hazelwood or Bruce. If UHRSC
members wish for any alterations to the timetable please give the proposed
amendment, in writing, to Chris Hazelwood who will take it to the Rink
Management Committee for consideration.
DISCOS: Yes, they have stated again for
2004. A roster is in the process of being drawn up and all families will be
expected to have their turn at helping out. Also check the booking sheet on the
notice board and see where you can help at our private bookings.
