AREA COMPETITION: Saturday/Sunday 9/10 October at New Plymouth. Please note that entry forms are on the notice board with the closing
date being Friday
27th August, 6:30 pm, at the rink Entry fee is $32.00 for 1 event, $37 for 2 or more events. NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED
IMPORTANT RINK FEES: These will be increasing from 1st September 2004 or the
4th school term depending on which card you are on. Increase is in
line with the extra rent the Club now pays
Full Card: $120.00 per quarter, Automatic payment $40.00 per month or $18.46 per fortnight
Part Card: $67.50 per quarter, Automatic payment $22.50 per month or $10.38 per fortnight
Patch Card: $40.50 per term, Automatic payment $13.50 per month or $6.23 per fortnight
Off Skate Training: $4.00 per time
Please remember to adjust your payment by the due time if on automatic payment.

MORO BARS: Thanks to everyone who has sold Moro Bars recently. When all the money is in we will have made around $500 If you have not returned your money please can you get this to Mary-Anne Thomson or David Linney by the end of this week

PLEASE NOTE KEYS: The lock to the main door and first aid box will be changed with new
locks on Wednesday

afternoon Anyone with a rink key will have to exchange his or her key for a new
one. This will be done Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday morning.
Anyone who cannot make these times please contact David Linney to arrange a
time. If anyone cannot exchange and still wish to have a key they must pay the
key deposit as per the “Key Rules”. By changing locks this will allow the Key
Register to be up to date
DANCE
YOUR SOCKS OFF: The Club has been asked to help out at this event on the evening of
Saturday 11 September at the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre by way of supplying
roller skates and getting some of our skaters to do demonstrations. Chris
Hazelwood will be helping to organise skaters to assist. This has been a great
way to help advertise our Club in the past so please help if possible
WORKING
BEE: Sunday
29th August, 1:00 pm at the rink. This is to do repairs to our Club
skates. Any help would be appreciated.
ROSTERS: The roster for August, September and October is on the notice board with spare copies also available. A copy has also been sent by e-mail to members. If the date you are rostered for doesn’t suit you please can you change with someone else, phone numbers are beside the name

COMPETITION SCORING: Have you ever wondered how judges mark competitions and why when
you work out the placing one-way, they are announced another. There is good reason. One of our club members who is
also a judge would be happy to run a session for us on the various marking
systems. If you would be interested in attending please let Mary-Anne Thomson

leaks will soon be a thing of the past. Work FINALLY started last week on
fixing the problem. While the mess is
an inconvenience, workmen are doing their best to cause as little disruption as

SQUAD WITH DAVID HOOK: World class coach, David Hook visited the club recently and spent a day running an on-skates, coaching clinic for competitive skaters from seven-years-old through to experienced adults. Thanks for coming David and all who attended enjoyed their time with you and are looking forward to your next squad
COUPLE
OF REMINDERS:
When you are first at the rink give the floor a sweep. List on notice board to record
each time this is done. Please use lights only when necessary and ensure all
lights, including the outside light, are OFF when locking building up. We have
to watch the power bill with electricity rising.
